Ambala man murdered over dispute

A 37-year-old carpenter was allegedly stabbed to death over a monetary dispute. This was revealed by the police officials here today.

The deceased has been identified as Phool Chand of Ambala Cantonment.

Reportedly, Chand had done wood work at the house of Bharat Kumar in Ambala Cantonment. Later, he had a dispute with Kumar over payment. “After Bharat came to my son’s shop, an argument ensued between them over the payment. After heated arguments, Kumar stabbed my son in the stomach and fled the spot,” Chand’s father Shiv Pujan told the police.

The carpenter was rushed to the local Civil Hospital, where he was referred to the PGIMER, Chandigarh. However, his family members took him to the GMCH-32, where doctors declared him dead.

A case has been registered and a probe is underway.
