Make CSAT qualifying exam: PCS aspirants

Chandigarh, July 24

With the Haryana Government amending rules to make the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) paper qualifying, pressure is building on the Punjab Government to follow suit.

Various political outfits have joined aspirants of the Punjab Civil Services Combined Competitive Examination (PCS) and demanded a similar move by the state government. The preliminary exam has two papers — General Studies and CSAT — of 200 marks each. In a representation to Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, PCS aspirants have drawn his attention towards the “discriminatory nature” of the CSAT. — TNS
