MC site not functional

The MC, Ambala Sadar, has issued property tax bills this month and allowed 5 per cent rebate for the auto debit system up to July 31, 2020, but the site is not functional. Land owners wait for benefits

The Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) had earlier invited online applications along with a fee of Rs 50,000 from owners of acquired land of several districts of the state in December 2018 for the allocation of oustees quota plots as per the government's Ramp;R policy. Now, issuing a letter of the Estate Officer, HSVP, Karnal, to the landlords asking them to go to three different offices of the DTP, Land Acquisition Officer, Panchkula, and tehsildar to get certificates in respect of the acquired land and submit the same to the office is totally unfair, unethical and impractical. All these departmental paperwork should be completed by the HSVP on its own, as all these departments are part of it. The authorities kindly take note. — Shakti Singh, Karnal
