BJP failed to save farmers’ interests: Congress MP

Karnal, August 18

Rajya Sabha member Deepender Hooda on Tuesday accused the Khattar government of failing to safeguard the interests of the state. "Since the Supreme Court verdict on the SYL canal pronounced three years ago, the state government has done nothing to advocate the rights of Haryana farmers," he said. The Congress leader branded the BJP government as "anti-farmer". "The three new agricultural ordinances are a proof of Centre's anti-farmer stance," he added. — TNS
