Medical council eases norms on selection of external examiners

Faridkot, August 6

The board of governors in supersession of the Medical Council of India (MCI) today issued modified guidelines regarding the conduct of practical examinations in clinical subjects for superspecialty courses.

The MCI advisory reads that if two external examiners are not available due to Covid restrictions, the examiners be selected from different universities in the state. Both of them will have to be physically present at the venue of the examination. In the absence of physical presence of the external examiners, they need to participate through video-conferencing. — TNS
