Teachers’ body opposes online transfer policy

Tribune News Service

Chandigarh, August 14

The Haryana Government College Teachers Association has termed the Higher Education Department's recent online transfer policy as unjust and discriminatory.

In a representation to the Chief Minister, the association claimed that since the government was yet to resolve the issues of rural service policy and posts occupied by extension and guest lecturers, the new policy came with several flaws, which would lead to legal complications.

It stated that the policy contained no information about Zone 1 and Zone 2 colleges. It added that the only intention seemed to be compulsorily transfer regular teachers after every five years. It rued not being involved in framing of the policy.
