Six more fall prey to virus in Fatehgarh Sahib, 42 cases surface

Six more deaths and 42 new cases of Covid were reported from Fatehgarh Sahib on Thursday, taking the district toll to 67 and the tally to 1,580.

Civil Surgeon Dr Surinder Singh said till today, 32,304 samples have been collected, of which 30,431 tested negative and 1,580 positive. As many as 1,223patients have been cured. There are now 290 active cases in the district. He said the result of 293 is awaited. He said the Guru Nanak Pura area of Bassi Pathana town and the Amul Milk area of Khamano town have been declared micro-containment zones and all activities in these places have been banned.
