Mumbai woman rescued from Kalka railway station

The Haryana State Commission for Women, along with police officials, today rescued a 35-year-old Mumbai woman from outside Kalka railway station. She had been living there in a pathetic condition for a week.

The victim was taken to the PHC, Kalka, for initial care and subsequently shifted to Sukoon Centre of Civil Hospital in Sector 6.

After getting information about the victim, the acting president of the Commission, Preeti Bhardwaj Dalal, reached the spot along with GRP officials to rescue the woman.

"We found the woman in a pathetic condition. She was crying over and over. Her mental state was not well," she said.
