Protest against three farm laws

Tribune News Service

Karnal, October 22

Scores of farmers under the banner of Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) on Thursday took out a ‘kisan kranti yatra’ on tractors holding black flags in their hands against the new agri-related Acts.

Farmers led by Rattan Mann, state president, BKU, said that these Acts were against farmers and the government should bring another Bill to ensure that the crop would not be procured below MSP.

They handed over a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.

Mann praised the Punjab Government for bringing in the new Bills and demanded the state government should follow in the footsteps of the Punjab Government in the Assembly session that would start from November 5.
