UT Administrator VP Singh Badnore has asked all medical institutions to have arrangements in place for facilitating the Covid-19 vaccination.

During a review meeting, Badnore said each hospital must have a special cell for post-Covid monitoring.

The Administrator also appealed to private hospitals to share the details of their doctors and medical staff with the Administration for the Covid vaccination.

He appealed to residents to continue following the Covid norms such as wearing a mask, washing hands and social distancing. He also wanted dedicated teams to visit Covid patients quarantined at home for regular screening.

The Administrator expressed sorrow over the sudden demise of Dr BS Chavan, who served as the Director-Principal of the GMCH, Sector 32.

Dr Jagat Ram, Director, PGI, said the positivity rate was gradually coming down. Meanwhile, PGI doctors also stated that the Covidshield vaccine was showing positive results.
