PUTA protest enters 32nd day

Chandigarh, December 21

The ongoing protest by the Panjab University Teachers’ Association (PUTA) executive entered its 32nd day here today. The PUTA executive, which continued its dharna in front of the Vice-Chancellor’s camp office, was today joined by a delegation of principals and teachers, both serving and retired, from colleges and universities of Punjab. The delegation joined the protest under the banner of the Punjab Educationists’ Forum, led by Dr Tarsem Bahia, president of the forum and a former Fellow and Syndic and former general secretary of the Punjab Federation of University and College Teachers’ Organisations. — TNS
