Abhay threatens to quit, again

Chandigarh: Indian National Lok Dal MLA from Ellenabad, Abhay Singh Chautala, on Friday announced that in case demands of the protesting farmers are not met by the government till January 26, he would resign from the state Assembly.

Abhay who arrived at Tikri border with his supporters, all driving tractors, said he would hand over his resignation from the state Assembly to Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta with copies to media on January 27 if the farmers' demands are not met by Republic Day. The INLD leader said that he would set out on a statewide tour from tomorrow to create awareness on the farm laws. Abhay had set out on a tractor march from Bhavdeen toll plaza in Sirsa on Thursday.
