In order to mobilise farmers and drum up support for the proposed tractor parade in New Delhi on Republic Day, Congress MLA Parminder Singh Pinki along with his supporters today organised an "awareness rally" which started from the National Martyrs' Memorial, Hussaniwala, and passed through the various places in the city and cantonment areas before culminating at Bhagat Singh Chowk.

Over 1,200 tractors participated in the rally. Farmers also joined in other vehicles with some of them moving in open Jeeps and SUVs.

Pinki said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had underestimated the power of farmers. He said the farmers would not sit back till the time these anti-farmer laws were repealed. "It is not a fight for crops but for the coming generations. The farmers will fight till their last breath," he said.
