Chandigarh, January 28

The Panjab University Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) took out a 'Tiranga Yatra' to protest the violence that occurred at the Red Fort in New Delhi on Republic Day.

The march started from the Panjab University Gate No 2 and ended at the Administration Block. University ABVP president Paras Rattan alleged: "The manner in which some anti-national forces have embarrassed the country in the guise of the peasant movement on Republic Day is highly reprehensible. All of this is a mischief."

"Student organisation, the SFS, had been exposed many times for its anti-national activities in the past. The university administration should be banned on the campus," said Hrishika Raj, Unit Secretary.

While Punjab state Secretary Qudrat Jot Kaur also seconded these claims.

"We were part of the march that led to Ring Road as a participant not a leading force. The ABVP has no moral grounds as under their parent government, many farmers have died," said Harman, member, SFS.
