2,671 inoculated in Panchkula

As many as 2,452 frontline workers, including Border Security Force (BSF) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel, were vaccinated in the district today. With this, the vaccine coverage rate stands at 73.6 per cent.

The Health Department had a target to vaccinate 3,330 frontline workers. Earlier, only 216 frontline workers received the Covid vaccine.

Meanwhile, 219 healthcare workers were also inoculated during the drive against a target of 170. The coverage rate for healthcare workers stood at 128.8 per cent. In total, 2,671 beneficiaries were vaccinated today. The overall target for the day was 3,500. The vaccination drive was held at 10 sites in the district.

Additional Chief Secretary (Revenue and Disaster Management) Sanjeev Kaushal and Panchkula Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Kumar Ahuja were among the beneficiaries to have received the first dose of the Covid vaccine. No adverse effects following immunisation (AEFI) were reported today. So far, 4,009 healthcare and 2,668 frontline workers have been vaccinated in the district.
