The civic body's action comes a day after The Tribune reported on the menace of illegal hoardings in the city. It was reported that the MC had earmarked 80 spots for hoardings, but more than 600 illegal hoardings were found in new Gurugram and Badshahpur, and on the Dwarka expressway, Delhi-Jaipur expressway, Sohna road, Pataudi road.

The MC also conducted awareness drives in Dwarka expressway, SPR near Kadarpur, Ullahwas and Nayagaon village, apprising local project owners and builders of the MC's advertisement policy.
