MC clerk held for corruption

Faridabad, February 19

A team of the state Vigilance Bureau caught a clerk of the Faridabad MC today for demanding Rs 10,000 bribe.

He was arrested on the complaint of Amar Singh of Kheri Kalan village. Amar told the team that Narender Singh of the MC's advertisement branch had sought Rs 10,000 for letting him affix a flex board at a certain spot in the city. He said he had already given Rs 2,000 to him and had agreed to give the remaining amount on Friday. A case under the Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered. — TNS
