Two persons have been arrested for assaulting a cab driver near Elante Mall here.
According to the police, complainant Rohit Rana, a resident of Sector 19, Panchkula, reported that two persons riding motorcycles assaulted him with a sharp weapon on February 7. The accused then escaped from the spot. However, the registration number of their motorcycles was noted down.
The victim, meanwhile, was admitted to the GMCH-32. A case of attempt to murder was registered. Later, the accused, identified as Sumit, alias Rahul (27), a resident of Baltana, Zirakpur, and Gagandeep Singh, alias Gagan (25), a resident of Ram Darbar, were arrested. — TNS
